We have 2010 Honda CR-V and there was no good place for us to set our TomTom when we needed to use it. This pad weighs enough so that it doesn't slip around the dash and it's just thin enough so that we can store it down in that container at the bottom of the door. We have never had a problem with the suction coming loose between the TomTom and the pad. The pad is also heavy enough that you're able to maneuver it wherever you like on the dashboard to provide you with a good angle to see the screen. Basically this product satisfied our need perfectly and although there aren't any fancy bells or whistles to rave about there certainly isn't anything that makes me wish I never bought it.
